In the frame of AALIANCE2 project the Workshop on Reference Designs for Integrated Applications for AAL was organized June 11th, 2013 in Frankfurt am Main.
The workshop has been focus on reference architectures and AAL middleware, and has tried to summarize the state of the art in AAL middleware and discuss whether a standardization of an AAL “reference architecture” is needed, and on which levels (e. g. reference model, system architecture, APIs, terminology/ontology).
AALIANCE2 Project is a Coordination Action funded in the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme, focussing on Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) solutions based on advanced ICT technologies for ageing and wellbeing of elderly people in Europe.
